On the Mend

So I think we are all on the mend--finally! After two weeks of some pretty bad luck, we are officially all feeling better! Phew thank goodness. Justin went to the Dr. today and his incision is looking awesome and he will go on Monday to get the stitches out! Yay!!! He is able to sit better now although still not a complete sit, he is getting there. Jyllian and Cohl are over their nasty colds that they had and Cohl is officially back to his normal eating schedule and the amount of his feeds! Wow did that ever seem like it took a long time. We were actually really concerned about him not eating solids and only drinking pedialite, but the Dr assured us that babies can actually live off pedialite for a very long time! Not that we would want to try for extended periods of time--a week was plenty long enough. I too am feeling much better! I am glad that my cold never got terrible and I only lost my voice for 2 days rather than the week or two that I usually will. My energy is back from the surgery that I had and I am soooo glad that it is. It stinks feeling blah all the time with no energy to get anything accomplished! What a poopy two+ weeks we had. But its getting better :) Yay!
Its getting to be that busy time of year for me as a educator--Parent/Teacher Conferences are just around the corner...Standardized Testing is after that...and then the well dreaded Parent Observation Week~yep you read that right--PARENTS GET TO OBSERVE OUR CLASSROOMS for an entire WEEK to see where they would like to put their child! Can we say silly!?!?!? I hate this week as I feel that I am on show. We have a parent ran district and parents get a HUGE say in what goes on in our district..heck they even get to sit in on interviews for postions and they even get in on the screening process for applications! So this is definatly a well dreaded week for all educators. On the plus side we know that this time of year also brings the end of the year very close! Yay for summer vacation!!!
Justin will start back to Light Duty next week and will be on light duty for the next few weeks. Due to his "disability" at the present time (he had a cyst on his tailbone that needed to be removed) it makes for sitting for prolong periods of time impossible. So he gets to go work in the office doing filing. Fun times but at least we won't have to burn up anymore sick leave. Lucky for him he has built up ALOT of sick leave in the past 5 years of employment. I on the other hand am out of all sick and personal leave once again! Maybe next year I can carry some over....nah I doubt it!
So I still haven't gotten too many pictures in the past week so once I do I will be sure to put an entire post devoted to just PICTURES and no words!!!! I know that is what you come here for anyways :)
Thank you to those of you who prayed for a quick recovery for us--it worked! And thanks for reading!!!! By the way if you want to become a FOLLOWER of the blog feel free to do so. We love seeing that people are reading about us!!!
We Love You!
Kylea, Justin, Jyllian and Cohl ( I guess Zeb, Lillie Mae, Jewels and Bernard too!!!)
