Mt. Rushmore with Great Grandpa

My grandpa, who will be 87 in October, came out to visit us for the 2nd time in one year. We are so excited to have him back out here with us. He seems to really enjoy himself while here. The last time he was here was in late Nov.-late Dec. Although we were able to show him some of the sights around Wyoming...it was so cold out that it was hard for him to really enjoy them. So this time we were able to do more. One of the things we did was take him up to Deadwood SD to do some gambling and then on to Mt. Rushmore. He really enjoyed this as he has heard so much about the faces but never thought he would ever get to see them. The minute we pulled up he just cried. It was sad, but at the same time we were thankful that we were able to take him there and he was able to see it at least once in his lifetime. We sure enjoyed our time with him and look forward to him coming back out. He says he wants to come back in September so we will see!

Happy Mommies Day!

Yesterday was Mother's Day. Justin had practiced all week with Jyllian on his days off to say "Happy Mother's Day." He said Mother's was too hard so they shortened it to Mommies because she says mommy normally. So once I was up she said to me, "Happy Mommies Day!" It was sooo cute. Then she gave me a letter which explained the days agenda. Justin had to work at 12:00 so he made the best of it by providing us with a schedule of things we were to do. The first thing was for us to go eat breakfast with Grammy. Grammy got to pick the place and Uncle Shane came too. It was very busy at the Village Inn due to Mother's Day and HS Graduation. Justin ended up having to leave before we got our food in order to get to work on time. We ate and then went home to get ready to go to the park. This was also the first day that Jyllian allowed me to fix her hair although it didn't last long. Still it was quite cute! We played at the park for quite some time before heading back home to get ready to go to Casper. In Casper we were to eat and go shopping. Jyllian wanted to get me a mother's ring for Mother's Day. We shopped at several jewelry stores before finding the perfect one. It is simple and really pretty. It will work perfectly for two children which is our plan, but right now stands all alone. Its just beautiful! We then went and ate at the Outback and had a wonderful meal. Shane and mom came too so it was nice afternoon with the family. All we were missing was Justin. I have to say it was a perfect Mother's Day! Hope all you mom's out there had a wonderful day too. You deserve it!

Cutie Patutie!

On Saturday evening we went to Grammy's house to eat dinner. On our way out the door Jyllian decided it would be fun to sit on the porch so we got some cute pictures. She is such a ham. When she sees the camera she says "Cheese" and if you're lucky and you can get a picture of her smiling while she is saying it. Fishing with Dad

Well its that time of year again. Time to go fishing. Jyllian is at the perfect age where she just enjoys doing everything! Justin was getting ready to go fishing and Jyllian got pretty excited about it, so we decided we would take her fishing too. We took out the fishing pole that her Granddad Ed got her for her first birthday and put it together. We decided pretty quickly that it was for when she got bigger (the pole was 4 times the size of her! ) and went to Pamida and got her a much smaller one and one that if it got broken it would be okay! We packed a picnic and off we went to the river. Jyllian was sooo excited to go fishing...although all she did was hit the water with her pole. Still it was super cute! Nobody caught anything..unless you call sticks something, but we still had fun. It got a little too windy for us to eat our picnic so we ended up leaving and eating at Grammy's house but it was still a fun afternoon.

The Big Catch of the Day!

Beautiful Weather

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful outside so we decided it was time to get sand for Jyllian's sandbox. We had gotten the sand box last year but she was too little to play in it, so this weekend was the perfect opportunity to take it out and see if Jyll would like it.
At first she was not too sure of the sand. She put her hands in it and said "Icky!" We thought great! She is not a huge fan of having her hands dirty so we were not sure that she would end up playing in it. But once she saw mommy and daddy playing she got right in and played too. She thought it was pretty cool. Thats her new word, she puts up her two index fingers and thumbs and says "cool!" Its too cute. Now she is a huge fan of the sandbox. She loves to cover up her feet and your feet too and then search for them. When she finds them she says "I see you!" Isn't she just the cutest thing ever!

Dying Easter Eggs!

Jyllian had her first Easter Egg Dying Party tonight. It was so cute watching her dye the eggs. She loved it! I was surprised at how well she caught onto the concept. Its was hillarious watching her, and very messy. You had to make sure you were not too close to her as she litterally dropped them into the cups. Dye would go flying everywhere. She got some on her face and of course on her clothes, but it was still super cute. In the pictures below you will see it was a family affair with Jyllian, me, Justin and my mom. She also started to say "cheese" when getting her picture taken. In some of the pictures you can really tell that she is saying "CHEESE!" They are just adorable though. Hope you enjoy!

Easter Egg Hunt

Last year for Jyllian's first Easter we were in Minnesota and we did go to an Easter Egg hunt but it was mainly the adults getting the eggs for the little ones. This year Jyllian was able to get the eggs all on her own. Of course we had to still help her as there were prizes to be won :) Jyllian loved the hunt. It was really cold out this year, so we had to have the egg hunt indoors. As a result it was not difficult to "find" the eggs as there was no grass or bushes for them to be hidden in. Instead it was dirt! Children 0-3 went first and when the first child heard a pop of the balloon, s/he thought it was the gun so off they ran and every other 0-3 year old ran too. Needless to say we were too early and they tried hard to get us to go back but there was no stopping them. Within minutes thousands of eggs were in the little kids hands. We did get two eggs with prizes. One of the them we gave to our friends who didn't get a prize. Fun was had by all!

Happy Easter!

Jyllian went and saw the Easter Bunny today. I didn't think she would like him, but was surprised when she loved him!

Our Little Shopper!

Okay so Jyllian is starting out a little early! She already loves to shop. She says "store" and if you're going shopping and ask her if she wants to go, she will beat you to the door to get to the car. So it shouldn't really surprise me that she also loved to push around the shopping cart at the Sportsmans Warehouse this weekend. We of course thought it was just the cutest thing ever and had to take a picture. You can't read the little sign on the cart because I cut it off in the pictures but it says "Customer In Training."
