Well another Christmas has come and gone. It always makes me sad once all the gifts are unwrapped and you pick up the mess--it goes so quickly. But this year was the best Christmas we've had in awhile due to Jyllian having such a great time with it all. She was excited about Santa, and opening presents. She was excited about all of the gifts she got. She just had a blast. She was definatly spoiled again by Santa, Grammie, Uncle Shane and of course us. But its easy to do. Next year will be fun with two little ones!
We spent Sunday night at Mom's house-eating dinner and opening a few presents there before Justin/I went to watch Fred Claus. Very cute movie by the way. Monday was spent finishing wrapping, buying last minute items for dinner and such and then going out to Shanes for Christmas Eve. We had dinner out there and of course opened more gifts. Justin got what he really wanted--a new coffee pot that also makes espresso and cappuccino. He has had fun today making cappuccino's and hot chocolate for everyone. I got a countertop oven which I have always been wanting. These were both from Shane. Jyllian got Disney Princess Lego's and VSmile Game System which Jyllian loved. She also got the VSmile Whizkid from Shane but opened that this morning. All in all it was a wonderful Christmas Eve capped off by a snowstorm that made sure we would have a White Christmas. Once we got home we got milk and cookies ready for Santa, and of course carrotts for his reindeer. Justin and Jyllian tracked Santa to see where he was at with his delivery of toys and we headed off to bed.
We awoke early this morning to see if Santa had come--and he had. Jyllian got a Barbie Jammin' Jeep which she had been saying for weeks now that she wanted, a beautiful rocking horse that my dad made for her, a digital camera, preschool learning center, clothes, babies, books and much much more. A very merry Christmas was had by all.
Hope your Christmas was wonderful and enjoy the slideshow.

My Little Pony LIVE!

We took Jyllian to her first live show...My Little Pony LIVE! It was at the Casper Events Center and she absolutely loved it. I enjoyed it as well. I think this will be the beginning to many more shows that Jyllian and I go to.
Because of the lights some of the pictures did'nt turn out the best but still you can get the idea :)

First Good Snowfall

We finally got snow this past weekend, enough for us to go sledding. Jyllian was excited to get to go sledding as she fell in love with it when we were in the mtns getting our Christmas Tree. So Shane, Justin, Jyllian and I all went over the park a couple of blocks away and went sledding. We all got cold, but Jyllian didn't want to stop. She cried when we finally said we had to go home. Her face was bright red it was so cold. But fun was had by all!

Happy Thanksgiving. We hope that your day was as wonderful as ours. We were blessed to be surrounded by family. Justin's Dad Ed and his wife Linda were able to come as well as Linda's kids John + his two kids Brianna and Michael, and Kathy. Mom and Shane also joined us. So we had a houseful. We ate at mom's this year, and it was just really nice to be around the people we care most about. It was a very nice day and what made it even better was the wonderful food we got to eat :)
We got some cute pictures of Jyllian--eating pie and riding the horse (AKA Justin) around mom's living room. Everyone got a pretty big kick out of her entertainment :)
Hope this finds you well and having a wonderful start to the Holiday Season!

Falling Leaves

Although the wind was blowing 70 mph today, we decided to get some much needed raking in and try and make our yard look a little better. So Jyllian, mom and I went out and started raking leaves into pile. Jyllian of course loved to play in the leaves and we had to get pictures.
After awhile of raking and them blowing away we finally decided that Justin should just get the lawn mower and mow them so he did! It looks 100 times better than it would have if we would have just raked them.

Happy Halloween

Jyllian was a Snow Princess for Halloween. She looked adorable and we loved hearing her say "Snow Princess." She leaves off the S in Snow so she says "No Princess."
She actually got to wear her costume twice. The first time was on Saturday, October 27th when Douglas had a Halloween Party for all the kids downtown. We got to go trick or treating downtown at the local merchants, had a hotdog lunch at Jackalope Square, and a costume contest. She really enjoyed that! Then on Halloween she went to Daycare and so she got to go to a Halloween Party at the school--Jamie's daughter is in 1st Grade so Jyllian went to her party and enjoyed that. Then they did some trick or treating downtown during the day. At 4:00 First Baptist Church put on a Harvest Fest at the Rec Center and I met Jamie and Jyllian along with the rest of the kids there. They had a lot of air games-the big blow up slides, and mazes etc. Jyllian was a little too small to go on most, but she did get to go down the slide. I am attaching a picture of her friend Luke going down the slide and then Jyllian after she went down it. My camera did go off in time to get Jyll's b/c she went down soo quickly after Luke went down. But she enjoyed that. After we left the Rec Center we went to the Hospital where the 1st floor was giving out candy. They had a little maze around the first floor and you had to follow the pumpkins but they were handing out candy. Jyllian was excited because she got to see her Grammie! We got a lot of candy there. By the time we were done it was a little after 5:00 and Grammie was done with work, so Jyllian walked with Grammie to her house. I ran up to our house to get Justin. Mom took Jyll around to a few houses by her and went trick-or-treating (Jyllian says Trit-Treat). Once Justin/I got there we walked to the bank--they were having a BBQ and giving out the new Wyoming Quarters to the first 1000 kids. So we went there and got her quarter and some food and of course more candy. We then went to a few more houses of people we know and then headed out to Shanes to get more candy. We stayed there for awhile until I was too exhausted and ready to go home. Jyllian of course was on a sugar high from eating soo much candy. But she really enjoyed it. Next year will be fun with two little ones--although our baby will only be a few months old. Things to look forward to! Enjoy the pictures :)

Jyllian thought it would be a great idea if she painted her Grammies toes. She loves toe nail polish and getting her toes and fingers painted but this was the first time she decided she wanted to paint. So we covered up the floor and Jyllian had a blast! As you can see, she made a few mistakes but all in all it looks pretty good for a 2 year old. :) We got a pretty good laugh out of it at least.
Just to let you know Jyllian is taking appointments :)

Family Update!

We had another ultrasound done today. We decided to take Jyllian to this one as she is getting quite excited about being a big sister. She keeps saying, "Jyllie Bean big sister." Its pretty cute. She knows that a baby is in mommy's tummy and she will lift up my shirt and say "Hi Baby!" I think she is a little confused on where the baby is, but gets the concept that it is in my belly. So anyways we had an ultrasound. They seem to take sooo much longer to do this time around. With Jyllian the Dr. did it in the exam room so I guess he was able to see what he needed to and that was that. Now the Radiology dept at the hospital does the ultrasounds so they take forever. I guess they want to make sure the Dr. see's everything she needs to. Its a little painful with a full bladder! Justin was unable to make it to this apt. as there was an emergency at work that he had go to. So it was just me and Jyllian. Jyllian walked into the room and must of had a flashback of when she had to go into the ultrasound room and started to bawl! I thought oh great, but they brought in a tech to play with her while we were getting the ultrasound done and she had toys to play with Jyllian. So that was really nice. We got to see some good pics of our little one. Its just amazing how fast they grow--as you can see from the pictures this time around, you can really see a lot more than the last time. I am only posting one of the pictures--a picture of the face. You can see the nose and head and mouth. Pretty cute :) The baby measured 13 weeks 2 days so a week ahead of what I am supposed to be. So we will see. Hope you enjoy!
I am beginning to feel a lot better. I am not as sick as I was, and my energy is starting to come back. I sure do look forward to the weekends so I can take naps with Jyllian :) Being at work all day sure does wear me out. I'm starting to out grow my pants--so much sooner than with Jyllian. With Jyllian I was able to wear my regular pants right through the pregnancy, not this time around. Maybe that is an indicator on what our little one is!?!? We have our suspicions, but we will have to wait and see until around 20 weeks to know for sure. We are anxiously waiting!
Other than that not much is going on. We are all staying busy. Jyllian is getting bigger and bigger every day. She is amazing us with all she knows. She can carry on quite the conversation and is so smart. She cracks us up with the things she comes up with to say. We are close to being potty trained. She wears big girl panties at home, but still wears pull-ups at daycare just in case. But today she didn't even go potty in her pull-up at daycare all day. She goes into the bathroom all by herself and gets up on the potty and goes. So we are getting there. Yay!
Work is a constant struggle. I am not sure if its just that I haven't been feeling that great, the abundance of low kids I have, or just the fact that I have several naughty kids this year, but they seriously put me over the edge on a pretty regular basis. Everyone just says to me, "ohh Kylea you have a very "diverse" class this year." I guess thats one way of putting it :) So its hard, but we are getting through it. I have been extremely fortunate to have 2 really good years, so I guess its my turn to have a rough one :)
Justin is staying busy too. Its that time of year for hunters and getting called out at night for calls. Sometimes it seems I just don't see that much of him. One night he was called out on a search for Search and Rescue at 8:00pm on a Friday night and I didn't see him again until 10:00am on Sunday morning and that was only for 10 mins before he was called out on another call. So its hard on him, me and Jyllian. She misses her daddy when he is gone that long.
So I guess that is all for the update.

First Snow

We woke up this morning to SNOW. Our first snow of the season. The mountains have gotten snow prior to this storm, but we have not yet seen it until last night. We didn't get much but it was enough for Jyllian to want to go and play in it. We had bought new snowpants and jacket a few weeks ago at Target as they were having a sale on them, and she has been patiently waiting for the snow to come. So all morning she wanted to play in the snow. Of course it melted quite quickly, so we headed up the mountain to see if there was anymore snow up there. On the way up she fell asleep so we headed back home and found some snow at the park down the street. Jyllian had a blast "playing" in it. As you can see from the pictures there wasn't much snow left even at the park. Much more up in the mountains, but the roads were terrible and I didn't want to take the chance of getting stuck with it being just me and Jyll. So she got to see the snow and she was happy. We should have lots of fun this winter with snow--as long as we get some good storms. Enjoy the pics!

Just lookin'
"Do you see it Mommy?"
Hmmmm should I touch it?
Burrrrr. Its cold!
