Happy Birthday Justin

So Justin is another year older :) He had a good birthday although we didn't do too much exciting. Because we were moving out of our house some of the day was spent packing stuff up and preparing to move. He got lots of great items for his new garage that we had super excited about! We had dinner at the house--I cooked BBQ Ribs and mom, Shane and Jerry came over to eat. I made better than sex cake--which was fabulous and Jyllian enjoyed helping daddy blow out the candles and opening presents. She is patiently waiting for the next birthday to come :)

Picnic at the Park

We had an eventful weekend this past weekend. Friday night was Shane's birthday. We had a nice time celebrating another year! On Saturday Justin, Jyllian, Cohl and I spent the day at my school trying to get my classroom organized. Justin worked on a loft that was given to me trying to make it where it would fit into my classroom. No luck so he tore it down and will rebuild a new one this coming weekend. Jyllian had fun playing with toys while Cohl hung out in his swing, giving me plenty of time to organize all my junk :) Mom took both kids for the night and Justin and I had a nice evening alone cuddled up watching a movie. Sunday morning Justin/I woke up and got ready to float the river. We had every intention of being on the river pretty early, but the raft had other plans. We waited to blow up the raft until we got to the river as we couldn't fit the blown up raft in my car. So we plugged in the inverter and started to air up the raft--pretty soon the fuse blew and so we had to deflate the raft, get into the car and drive tot he store to buy fuses. After 4 fuses we finally got the raft aired up enough to float and we headed out. It was so relaxing and sooo needed. Justin and I had a great time and were able to talk with no iterruptions :) Towards the end of our float there were some rapids. We decided we wanted to go right through them rather than around them, so we headed that way. I was in the front and Justin said I would be his eyes and if it got too rough to tell him and he would try to pull out. So we started that way and I noticed they were a lot bigger than we thought. I screamed No No No No Justin Justin Justin but it was too late. They were BIG and at one time I was looking down at Justin sitting in the raft. But we made it. It brought a little excitment to our relaxing float :) We had a good laugh!!! After our float we went and picked up th kids and went home for a little realxing and napping. That evening we went to the park for a picnic. We BBQ'd and had Mom/Jerry and Shane join us. Ate S'mores and played Hide-n-Seek. Just an all around fun, relaxing weekend!!!

Uncle Shanes Birthday

Jyllian LOVES birthdays. She gets so excited and is the QUEEN of Birthdays. She has been counting down the days to the next birthday since her birthday in June. We told her Uncle Shanes was next....so as it got closer she got more and more excited. The day of, Justin and Jyllian ran to Casper shopping for his present. Jyllian wanted to get him....SQUIRT GUNS! She is on this squirt gun kick as her Bapa (Justin's dad) got squirt guns for his birthday too. They looked all over but no squirt guns so instead she decided she would get him a bubble gun---they play bubbles all the time. Jyllian also picked out the cake--Scooby Doo! Granted it was a girl Scooby Doo cake but at least Shane likes Scooby Doo. Too cute. We went out to dinner--Fort Diablo in Glenrock--very YUMMY and then went to mom's for presents and cake. Jyllian had to remind me about the balloons and candles. She is so on top of things. So we got the candles on the cake and blew up some balloons. I told you she was the birthday QUEEN! Remember everything. Uncle Shane came in the door and she screamed SURPRISE!!! We sang and he blew out the candles and we ate cake. It was yummy. Then it was present time--Jyllian was sooo excited about his bubble gun. She said "You can share it with me!" They had a blast playing the bubble machine. FUN! He also liked what he got from everyone else. It was late so we headed home, Justin went to work to do some overtime, and Shane...well he went out to celebrate :)
Next birthday---Daddy's! We're already planning something spectacular :)

Cohl's First Fair

The Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo was in Casper this week and so we decided to take the kids up and let Jyllian have some fun. She was just the right size to get to ride most of the rides by herself. She had a BLAST! Cohl had fun too. He was just amazed with all the people, sights and sounds. We got some cute pictures of Jyllian riding the rides and Cohl--well he was just hanging out with his Grammie.

After we rode the rides we had some treats--cotton candy, ice cream, and mini-donuts. Then we decided we better come home before the freaky-freakies come out :)

We're looking forward to the State Fair coming to Douglas in August. We know Jyllian will have a great time and she is already excited about the rides. She told me this morning when she woke up--I didn't get to ride the bears mom, but I will ride them when it comes here. And the horses too. :)

Our Big Girl!

Here's some pictures of Jyllian riding her scooter that she got from us for her Birthday! She is such a BIG girl these days. Can you believe she will be starting preschool in the fall?!!??! Sad!!

Scott Family Reunion

For the 4th of July this year we had a family reunion with Justin's family. We were happy to get out of town for a few days as this is probably the only chance we will get this summer to go somewhere. We have so much going on in our lives with Cohl, and packing up our house, unpacking in our new house and moving into a new classroom for me--just not real sure where we will fit any other trips in. So we were glad to get out of town. It was nice to get to see all the Scott family. It had been far too long since we had all been together so it was nice.
So hope you enjoy the pictures :)
