Please Pray

Hello from Colorado. Day one of our Spring Break Trip and I am already asking for those of you who read our blog to pray! This is for my dear friend Misty. Her brother died in his sleep on Friday and they are still not sure why. Yet another death in the past two weeks. Please pray for Misty and her family as they go through this very difficult time. They will need all the prayers they can get. This has gotten me to thinking of my own family and what I would do if I lost one of them. It makes me sad and sick to think about it. I love my family so much and for me to lose one of them would just kill me. I think I am holding my babies a little tighter and longer today and making sure everyone knows that I LOVE THEM VERY MUCH!!! Don't ever forget it! Live life to its fullest every day because you never know if there will be a tomorrow.

Saddness

Wow has our poor little town ever encountered alot in this past week. I am saddened by it all and can't help but wonder what is going to happen next and can we handle it? Last week (March 9th) we had three very well known and liked people in our town die. Joe and Theressa Knoell along with Theressa's son were all found dead in their home Monday morning. It was a double homicide/suicide and I think we were all saddened by it. I can not imagine being so depressed with life that I would kill my husband for one and my own child before killing myself. I just don't understand what people are thinking when they do this. On the following Sunday (March 15) a little girl in our Kindergarten class who passed away unexpectedly. She had special needs and her name was Miracle and she truly was a Miracle! At school we were saddened to hear this. Another blow came on Wednesday morning when an emergency staff meeting was held to inform us that one of our co-worker's son had killed himself the previous night. I couldn't help but just start to cry. I wanted to get back into my car and go home and be with my family. Five deaths in one week is a little too much to handle even if you don't know them all personally. I just ask that you please pray for our town and for those who are suffering. I know there is so much hurting and suffering going on in this world right now and can't help but think that if we all did a little more prayer that maybe some of it would go away. I know that I am sure praying a lot more these days than I have in the past and it makes me feel better :)
Have a great weekend! We are really looking forward to it as I have spring break all next week and we are getting out of town! YAY :) it couldn't have come at a better time. I will be sure and post pictures when we get back.

On the Mend

So I think we are all on the mend--finally! After two weeks of some pretty bad luck, we are officially all feeling better! Phew thank goodness. Justin went to the Dr. today and his incision is looking awesome and he will go on Monday to get the stitches out! Yay!!! He is able to sit better now although still not a complete sit, he is getting there. Jyllian and Cohl are over their nasty colds that they had and Cohl is officially back to his normal eating schedule and the amount of his feeds! Wow did that ever seem like it took a long time. We were actually really concerned about him not eating solids and only drinking pedialite, but the Dr assured us that babies can actually live off pedialite for a very long time! Not that we would want to try for extended periods of time--a week was plenty long enough. I too am feeling much better! I am glad that my cold never got terrible and I only lost my voice for 2 days rather than the week or two that I usually will. My energy is back from the surgery that I had and I am soooo glad that it is. It stinks feeling blah all the time with no energy to get anything accomplished! What a poopy two+ weeks we had. But its getting better :) Yay!
Its getting to be that busy time of year for me as a educator--Parent/Teacher Conferences are just around the corner...Standardized Testing is after that...and then the well dreaded Parent Observation Week~yep you read that right--PARENTS GET TO OBSERVE OUR CLASSROOMS for an entire WEEK to see where they would like to put their child! Can we say silly!?!?!? I hate this week as I feel that I am on show. We have a parent ran district and parents get a HUGE say in what goes on in our district..heck they even get to sit in on interviews for postions and they even get in on the screening process for applications! So this is definatly a well dreaded week for all educators. On the plus side we know that this time of year also brings the end of the year very close! Yay for summer vacation!!!
Justin will start back to Light Duty next week and will be on light duty for the next few weeks. Due to his "disability" at the present time (he had a cyst on his tailbone that needed to be removed) it makes for sitting for prolong periods of time impossible. So he gets to go work in the office doing filing. Fun times but at least we won't have to burn up anymore sick leave. Lucky for him he has built up ALOT of sick leave in the past 5 years of employment. I on the other hand am out of all sick and personal leave once again! Maybe next year I can carry some over....nah I doubt it!
So I still haven't gotten too many pictures in the past week so once I do I will be sure to put an entire post devoted to just PICTURES and no words!!!! I know that is what you come here for anyways :)
Thank you to those of you who prayed for a quick recovery for us--it worked! And thanks for reading!!!! By the way if you want to become a FOLLOWER of the blog feel free to do so. We love seeing that people are reading about us!!!
We Love You!
